Not sure whether it is good or bad, but I just had my top end done on my KTM 2015 XCF-W at 300 hours. I pretty much only ride single track and most of it is pretty tight so I don't spend a lot of time up in high rev's. I did it at 300 hours as a preventative measure. 300 hours omg! My 350 SX-F is at 39.00 from factory and the valves are perfect. Hello all, I have a KTM 450 Exc 2012. The manual states it requires Motorex 10 50 w fully synthetic motor oil. I changed the oil and poured in Motorex 10 50 w fully synthetic "Power" and after realised I should have used "Cross Power".
This can be a result of an oil consumption problem, a fuel system issue, or an ignition issue. Solutions include ensuring the right quality and quantity of oil is used, servicing the fuel system, or checking and adjusting the ignition timing. 2. Electrical problems. The 450 EXC carries KTM's time-tested electrical engineering in motorcycles.

2013 KTM 300 EXC. 38mm Keihin+STIC block carb, Gnarly pipe, modified head. Bike lowered by 50mm because I'm a short arse! Nerves of steel, heart of gold, knob of butter.

Ignore the service intervals for eveything. Just keep the air filter clean, change the oil and clean the 2 screens every 250 to 500 miles and the oil filters every 4th oil change. The camchain wears quite slowly, will last 4000 miles or so if you are lucky. This is how to check it:
For optimal performance and engine longevity, it is recommended to change the oil and oil filter on your KTM 450 EXC-F (2024) at regular intervals. Consult the manual to determine the manufacturer's recommended oil change frequency and the correct procedure to change the oil and replace the filter.
If you want something that will last (and has all the little bugs worked out), look at the Kawasaki KLR 650. Pretty much indestructible. If it's not aggressive enough for you, consider the Honda XR650L - also reliable as a pile of bricks. If that's not elite enough, a BMW F700GS (or 650) should do the trick.
