The shaft is light silver metal color visible below the motor (slotted shaft end). If the motor shaft does not turn, verify the connector is fully seated. If still inop, then read below Bad Motor. If the motor shaft turns, then the plastic motor/door coupler is stripped, or the door is broken inside the housing.
